Boris Cepeda is a Steinway Artist, concert pianist, conductor, and educator whose career has taken him from Carnegie Hall and the Berlin Philharmonie to recital stages across Europe, Latin America, and the United States. Born in Ecuador and formed in Germany, he has been based in Atlanta since 2023.
As co-founder of the European Piano Academy of Atlanta, Boris brings over four decades of performance and teaching experience to a studio built on European conservatory values. His teaching spans all levels — from young beginners to advanced students preparing for university auditions — and extends to vocal coaching, piano accompaniment, and conducting master classes.
Boris studied at the University of the Arts in Bremen, Germany, and holds the distinction of Steinway Artist — a recognition extended to fewer than 2,000 pianists worldwide. He has served as Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of Ecuador and Artistic Director of international music festivals.
Meet Katja Cepeda: Virtuoso Pianist and Inspiring Educator
Katja Cepeda, a pianist known for her passion and versatility was born in Warendorf, Germany. She is fluent in German, English, and Czech, reflecting her diverse cultural background.
Katja started playing the piano at five and graduated with honors from the University of the Arts in Bremen. She co-founded the Max Reger piano duo in 1998, showcasing Reger's masterpieces globally. As a soloist, she contributed to projects featuring Beethoven, Brahms, and Hanns Eisler.
In addition to her concert performances, Katja has excelled in the world of musicals, gracing stages in theaters in Europe.
As a dedicated piano teacher, Katja's teaching philosophy is rooted in fostering a deep connection between her students and the music, tailoring her approach to individual aspirations and capabilities. Her dedication goes beyond imparting technical expertise; she strives to ignite a lifelong passion for music, ensuring that every student discovers their unique voice on the piano.
