Atlanta Steinway Piano Studio

Where serious piano study meets the sound of a concert Steinway in the heart of Atlanta.

At the European Piano Academy of Atlanta, selected students work each week on a Hamburg-built Steinway grand under the guidance of Steinway Artist Boris Cepeda. From first pieces to advanced concert repertoire, lessons are focused, musical, and deeply personal. Recitals take place both in our studio and at Steinway Galleries Atlanta, giving students the experience of performing under real concert conditions.

Why the Atlanta Steinway Piano Studio is different

Our studio is intentionally small. We work with a limited number of committed students so that every lesson can be taught at the highest artistic and pedagogical level.

  • Lessons on a meticulously maintained Hamburg Steinway B

  • Instruction rooted in the German conservatory tradition

  • Teaching in English, German, Spanish or Czech

  • Regular student recitals, including events at Steinway Galleries Atlanta

  • Individual practice strategies, technique work, and musical interpretation tailored to each student

  • A calm, focused environment that respects both the music and the student’s time

For whom this studio is ideal

  • Children and teenagers who love music and are ready to work consistently

  • Pre-college students preparing auditions, competitions, or advanced repertoire

  • Adults who want more than casual lessons and value depth, structure, and beautiful sound

Our current studio ranges from enthusiastic five-year-olds to dedicated adult students, all united by the same goal: to play the piano well.

What to expect from lessons

Each lesson combines three elements:

  1. Sound & Technique – healthy, efficient movement and a beautiful tone at the Steinway.

  2. Repertoire – from Bach to Debussy and beyond, chosen to fit the student’s level and personality.

  3. Musicianship – score reading, phrasing, style, and a deeper understanding of the music.

Between lessons, students receive clear practice goals so that progress is steady and measurable.
