Opus Wine IV, The Devil’s Interval
You are warmly invited to the next edition of our cultural salon series:
Opus and Wine: The Devil’s Interval
From the salons of old Europe to the stages of modern America
A journey through song, exile, and the seductions of art
Date: Saturday, September 13
Location: European Piano Academy of Atlanta, 21 Roanoke Ave NE
This edition is inspired by Thomas Mann, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature and one of the most influential German authors of the twentieth century. His novels, including The Magic Mountain and Doctor Faustus, explore the Faustian tension between knowledge and temptation, art and morality.
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth, we follow a cultural arc from Goethe to Mann, and from Lied to jazz, guided by music and texts shaped by exile, transformation, and the enduring pursuit of meaning.
The Experience
Enjoy an intimate evening of live music, literary reflection, conversation, and curated wine — thoughtful yet relaxed, reflective yet full of warmth.
Wine and Fare
A refined selection of wines, thoughtfully paired by sommelier Zach Braswell, will accompany seasonal dishes served throughout the evening. These offerings are shared as part of the private cultural experience among guests.
