Opus & Wine IV: The Devil's Interval
This edition is inspired by Thomas Mann, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature and one of the most influential German authors of the twentieth century. His novels, including The Magic Mountain and Doctor Faustus, explore the Faustian tension between knowledge and temptation, art and morality.
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth, we follow a cultural arc from Goethe to Mann, and from Lied to jazz, guided by music and texts shaped by exile, transformation, and the enduring pursuit of meaning.
The Experience
Enjoy an intimate evening of live music, literary reflection, conversation, and curated wine — thoughtful yet relaxed, reflective yet full of warmth.
Wine and Fare
A refined selection of wines, thoughtfully paired by sommelier Zach Braswell, will accompany seasonal dishes served throughout the evening. These offerings are shared as part of the private cultural experience among guests.
Opus and Wine is presented as a private cultural salon. All performances and refreshments are shared as part of the curated experience. Guest contributions support the artistic and hosting efforts involved.
